{"id":336,"date":"2019-01-14T18:50:38","date_gmt":"2019-01-14T17:50:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.repaq.es\/como-presentar-la-declaracion-anual-de-envases-paso-a-paso\/"},"modified":"2022-01-19T14:12:38","modified_gmt":"2022-01-19T13:12:38","slug":"how-to-present-your-annual-packaging-declaration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.repaq.es\/en\/blog\/how-to-present-your-annual-packaging-declaration\/","title":{"rendered":"How to present your Annual Packaging Declaration"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center\">Do you sell packaged products with own or distribution brands that could be reached by the final consumer in national territory?<\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\">Do you package\/fabric and sell products that could be reached by the final consumer in national territory?<\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\">Do you import and sell packaged products that could be reached by the final consumer in national territory?<\/h2>\n<p>In that case, you must be preparing the last calculations for the annual Packaging Declaration presentation, which must be file before 28 February and, thereby, retain the \u201cGreen Dot\u201d symbol in your packaging.<\/p>\n<p>If the declaration is not delivered on time, your company will be excluded from the annual report that Ecoembes sends to the Autonomous Communities every 31<sup>st<\/sup> March on the reporting companies. In addition, the delay in filing the declaration entails a financial penalty.<\/p>\n<h2>What packaging must you declare?<\/h2>\n<p>As you may know very well, it is mandatory to declare packaged products that are likely to be purchased for consumption by individuals. These are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All national packaging (including Ceuta, Melilla and Canary Islands).<\/li>\n<li>All sells made during the natural year (from January to December).<\/li>\n<li>Samples and promotions.<\/li>\n<li>All packaging up to the reporting company (white label, own brands fabricated by others).<\/li>\n<li>All units of packaging element.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What must you considering?<\/h3>\n<p>In order to declare the packaging that you put on the market, you should take into account these points:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The declaration is done on the basis of the previous year actual sales, and this one will be the Provisional Declaration for the current year.<\/li>\n<li>Indication of the destination or market to which the packaging is intended to: domestic, commercial and industrial.<\/li>\n<li>Indication of the product that contains the packaging and its code. For example, for a 2L soft drink bottle, we would mark \u201cRefreshing drinks\u201d type of product with code 3001.<\/li>\n<li>These products are grouped into different sectors. In the case of the previous example, the sector is equally named as the product type. Instead, there are sectors divided into different types of products, as in the case of the \u201cFrozen food\u201d sector, where we find the following types of product: \u201cFrozen ready-made and pre-cooked food\u201d, \u201cFrozen juices and frozen dairy products\u201d, \u201cSingle wrapped, family-sized and in bulked ice-creams\u201d, \u201cIce\u201d, \u201cFrozen fish, molluscs and crustaceans\u201d, \u201cFrozen meat products\u201d and \u201cFrozen vegetables\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Existence of eight blocks for different materials for the packaging conformation. For metals and plastics, there are also submaterials to indicate the metal type or the plastic type declared. Each type of material and submaterial has a specific rate assigned.<\/li>\n<li>Separate declaration of each part that composes the packaging and is easily separable, named as \u201cpackaging element\u201d. For example, the elements of the 2 L bottle of soda are: bottle, cap and label. These elements have a description already set by law and have an assigned code. Following our example, the bottle would be packaging code 101 and description \u201cBottle, flask\u201d; the cap has the code 118 and \u201cCap, lid\u201d description; finally, the label has 116 code and \u201cSheet, film, wrapper, flow pack, label\u201d description.<\/li>\n<li>Once identified every product type, sector, packaging element and the material (and submaterial when applicable), the packaging element weight must be expressed in grams. This weight must be exact and precise.<\/li>\n<li>The rate applied is governed by the material or submaterial type and the weight factor. The units factor is added for glass materials. Adding the cost of all elements, we will obtain the individual quotation of the packaging format.<\/li>\n<li>It is important to consider and reflect in the declaration the different formats of the same product that a client can find in the market. Following our example, we can sell the bottles separately or in packs of 6 grouped by a shrink film. This shrink film must be declared, too, because the client brings it home. In conclusion, for our 2 L bottle we will have two different formats to declare:\n<ol>\n<li>Individual bottles, where we declare one bottle unit, one cap unit and one label unit.<\/li>\n<li>6 2L bottles pack, where we declare one shrink film unit, six bottles, six caps and six labels.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Lastly, the quotable units of each declarable format will be indicated.
