Identify strategies to minimise the environmental impact of packaging.

Define packaging integration strategies in circular economy. Plastics and circular economy.

Integrate the sustainability axis of packaging in the strategic lines of the company and in the planned innovation and/or development plan.

2. Current environment and alignment with circular economy criteria.

3. Recyclable packaging:
a. Requirements for recyclability of packaging
b. Collection, sorting and recycling system
c. Improvement actions.
d. Case study: Recyclass tool for the assessment of recyclability of plastics.

4. Reusable packaging:
a. Requirements for reusable packaging
b. Case study: evaluation of closed-cycle and open-cycle packaging.

5. Biodegradable and compostable packaging:
a. Requirements for biodegradability and compostability.
b. Industrial composting systems.
c. Case study: Relevant labelling and logos, steps to demonstrate compostability and/or certification.

6. Identification of the most appropriate sustainability improvement strategies for each type of material/packaging.
